Prayer Burdens

1. Thanksgiving to the Lord for His blessing and His speaking in the Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference held this past weekend; the burden of the conference was on Our High Calling (Phil. 3:14); pray that all the saints would walk worthily of the calling with which we were called (Eph. 4:1)

2. The Northeast High School Juniors & Seniors Retreat (grades 11 & 12) which will be held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend; the general subject of the conference will be Knowing God by Knowing His Heart, Love, Purpose and Economy

3. The Fall college retreat for the students in New York, New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania which will be held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend; the general subject of the conference will be Holding to Truth in Love

4. The International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones (ITERO) to be held in Manila, Philippines from October 5-7

5. Gospel trips in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (October 8-22)–The saints in the recovery are invited to join the campus labor at the beginning of the university year in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria; let us pray that the Lord will gain many students in these three countries as remaining fruit and for the spread of the Lord’s testimony in these countries through the gospel trips

6. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)

1. That all the saints would put on “the breastplate of faith and love and a helmet, the hope of salvation” (1 Thes. 5:8) and “not lose heart” as they face the “momentary lightness of affliction” (2 Cor. 4:16-17) in their daily lives

2. The Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference being held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend

3. The Northeast High School Juniors & Seniors Retreat which will be held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 29-October 1

1. That all the saints would be strengthened in their eating of the Lord in His Word each morning and then “let their light shine before men” throughout the day wherever they are, seizing every opportunity to sow the seed of the Word of God as the gospel (Matt. 4:4; 5:16; 13:3)

2. That all the young ones and new ones would be established in the habits of having personal fellowship with the Lord each morning and reading the Word daily in order to build up a strong foundation in their Christian life

3. The blending conference for the churches in the Mid Atlantic states to be held in Philadelphia, PA this upcoming weekend

4. The blending conference for the churches in Upstate New York to be held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend

5. The Young Working Saints and Young Familes Conference being held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 22-24

6. The Lord’s move in the United States–That the Lord would preserve this nation for the preaching of the gospel and for the spread of His testimony at the consummation of the age

7. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)

1. The burden for the gospel on the college campuses during the new academic year both in NYC and throughout the country

2. The Spanish-speaking conference for the churches in the Northeast to be held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend

3. The blending conference for the churches in Upstate New York to be held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 15-17

4. The blending conference for the churches in the Mid Atlantic states to be held in Philadelphia, PA over the weekend of September 15-17

5. The strengthening of the church meetings and small group meetings this week

1. The burden for the gospel–That all the saints would have the burden for the gospel and that the church as the lampstand would shine brighter and brighter throughout the whole city; let us pray for any upcoming gospel meetings in the various halls of the church

2. All the children and young people during the upcoming school year–Thanksgiving to the Lord for all the children and all the middle school, high school and college age young people, and prayer for each one during the upcoming school year; let us pray that they all would be preserved and that they would all let their light shine before men

3. The Spanish-speaking conference for the churches in the Northeast to be held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 8-10

4. The Lord’s move in Europe–Prayer for the migration of burdened saints to six designated European cities—Barcelona, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Rome, and Zurich; also pray for the strengthening of the new lampstand in Lisbon and the recovered lampstand in Zurich

5. The Lord’s move in Australia and New Zealand–On Friday there will be a Teachers’ Training in Sydney for all the churches in Australia in preparation for the summer school of truth (which will be held at the end of this year); then over the weekend there will be a conference for the parents and serving ones of the children and young people; many saints in New Zealand will participate in these events via Zoom

1. Thanksgiving to the Lord for His blessing on the Family Bible Camp which was held last week at Camp Penuel; a total of 190 attended, including 70 children; let us pray for all the children and all the families in the church during the upcoming school year

2. Thanksgiving to the Lord for all the middle school, high school and college age young people, and prayer for each one during the upcoming school year; let us pray specifically for all the college freshmen, that they would go on in the church life wherever they are and that they would let their light shine before men from the beginning of their college years (Matt. 5:16)

3. The burden for the gospel–That all the saints would have the burden for the gospel and seize every opportunity for the speaking of the gospel “in season and out of season” (2 Tim. 4:2); let us pray for any upcoming gospel meetings in the various halls of the church

4. The church meetings, the small group meetings and all the practical services in all nine halls this week

5. The fall term of the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA) and the training extension in Boston (FTTA-XB)–There are currently 5 trainees from NYC in Anaheim: Miguel Carbajal (1st term), Michelle Wang (1st term), Jessica Chen (2nd term), Benjamin Cooley (4th term), Libby Sun (4th term), and 1 trainee in Boston: Dean Deng
