Prayer Burdens

1. Thanksgiving to the Lord for blessing the Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference held this past weekend and prayer for the operation of the Word and the Spirit in all of these saints, and for their going on and functioning in all the churches throughout the Northeast; the general subject of the conference was Returning to the Simplicity and the Purity Toward Christ

2. The International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones (ITERO) being held in Amsterdam, Netherlands this week, from Thursday through Saturday; many brothers from around the world will be present for the live training, and many more will participate remotely via video; please pray for the perfecting of the brothers through the Lord’s timely and up-to-date speaking

3. The Lord’s move in the United States:
a. That the Lord would preserve this nation for the preaching of the gospel and the spread of His testimony
b. The strengthening of all the believers throughout the nation, including ourselves, to not be ashamed of the gospel (Rom. 1:16) and to seize every opportunity to preach the gospel (2 Tim. 4:2)
c. The preaching of the gospel on all the high school and college campuses

4. Gospel meeting in Hall 1 on Saturday, October 17

5. The Lord’s move in Europe–The first Lord’s table in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg is scheduled to be held on October 4

6. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)

1. Serving in the priesthood (1 Pet. 2:5, 9)–That all the practical services in the church would be spiritual services, part of the holy and royal priesthood, for the building up of the church, the house of God

2. The Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference for the churches in the Northeast being held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend

3. The new school year:
a. That all the children, young people and college-age saints would be preserved and “shine as luminaries in the world” (Phil. 2:15)
b. Prayer for the new arrangements in the children’s meeting and young people’s services in all nine halls
c. Prayer for all the college students on all the campuses throughout the NYC metropolitan area

1. Loving the brotherhood (1 Pet. 2:17)–That the mutual shepherding in the church life would be strengthened and all the saints would experience the reality of “the brotherhood” (the family of the brothers, the brothers in the feeling of brotherliness)

2. The Spanish-speaking Conference for the churches in the Northeast and Eastern Canada to be held at Camp Penuel this upcoming weekend

3. The Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference being held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 18-20

4. The International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones (ITERO) being held in Amsterdam, Netherlands on September 24-26

5. Gospel meeting in Hall 1 on Saturday, October 17

6. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)

1. Thanksgiving to the Lord for all the middle school, high school and college age young people, and prayer for each one during the upcoming school year; let us pray specifically for all the college freshmen, that they would go on in the church life wherever they are and that they would “shine as luminaries in the world” from the beginning of their college years (Phil. 2:15)

2. The burden for the gospel on the college campuses during the new academic year both in NYC and throughout the country

3. Regional Labor Day weekend conferences for the churches in the Mid Atlantic (in Baltimore, MD), the Southeast (in Atlanta, GA), and the Mountain States (in Denver, CO)

4. The Lord’s move in New Zealand and the burden for the raising up of the next generation for the church life–This upcoming weekend there will be a conference for the parents and serving ones of the children and young people in the churches in New Zealand

5. The Spanish-speaking conference for the churches in the Northeast to be held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 11-13

6. The Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference being held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 18-20

7. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)

1. Increase and spread (John 15:1-11, 16)—Let us pray that all the saints, from the youngest to the oldest, would have the burden for the gospel:
a. Prayer for the gospel meeting being held this upcoming Friday, August 28, exclusively online via Zoom
b. Prayer for the next in-person church gospel meeting which will be held on Saturday, October 17, in Hall 1

2. Thanksgiving to the Lord for His blessing on all the summer events and prayer for the church’s further going on for the rest of the year:
a. The shepherding of all the saints and all the new ones, that not one would be overlooked
b. The strengthening of all the families and households in the church life
c. The strengthening of the church meetings and small group meetings this week

3. The upcoming new school year:
a. That all the children and the young people would be preserved and “let (their) light shine” (Matt. 5:16)
b. Prayer for the new arrangements in the children’s meeting and young people’s services in all nine halls
c. Prayer for all the college students on all the campuses throughout the NYC metropolitan area

4. The strengthening of the churches in Upstate NY, New Jersey, and Connecticut

5. The Lord’s move in Australia and the burden for the raising up of the next generation for the church life–This upcoming Friday there will be a Teachers’ Training in Sydney, Australia for all the churches in Australia in preparation for the summer school of truth (which will be held at the end of this year); then over the weekend there will be a conference for the parents and serving ones of the children and young people

1. That all the saints, from the youngest to the oldest, would be strengthened in their daily reading and enjoyment of the Word of God

2 Timothy 3:16-17 — All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work.

2. Thanksgiving to the Lord for blessing the Family Bible Camp and prayers for all the families in the church life during the upcoming school year

3. The church gospel meeting on Friday, August 28 (location to be announced)

4. The fall term of the Full-Time Training in Anaheim (FTTA), the training extension in Boston (FTTA-XB), and all the full-time trainings all over the earth (e.g. Mexico City, Mexico; Caacupe, Paraguay; London, UK; Addis Ababa, Ethiopia; Taipei, Taiwan; Hamilton, New Zealand)

5. The saints in the church in Spokane, WA and the community at large in the wake of the wildfires in Eastern Washington; let us pray for the saints and the people of Spokane, and stand with the church in Spokane for their burden for the gospel at this time

6. The saints in Colombia, South America and in Indonesia in the aftermath of the earthquake which struck in these places recently

7. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)
