Regional Conference

October 27-29, 2023

GENERAL SUBJECT:

LIVING AND SERVING
ACCORDING TO GOD’S ECONOMY
CONCERNING THE CHURCH

 
We are pleased to announce that there will be a regional conference with brother Ed Marks over the weekend of October 27-29, 2023. Registration is not required (unless requesting hospitality) and all are welcome to attend.
 
General Information
All meetings will be held at Hall 1 of the church in NYC (87-60 Chevy Chase Street, Jamaica Estates, NY 11432). There will also be a Zoom option provided for those who cannot come in person.
 
Conference Schedule (October 27-29, 2023)
Message 1 – Friday, 7:30pm
Message 2 – Saturday, 10:00am
Message 3 – Saturday, 4:00pm
Lord’s Table & Message 4 – Lord’s Day, 10:00am
 
Note:
  • There is no meeting on Saturday evening
  • The message on Lord’s Day will begin immediately after the Lord’s table; the Zoom meeting will open at 10:50 AM EDT
 
Language Translation
Translation will be provided in Spanish, Korean, Russian, and Chinese. Saints needing translation should bring their own FM radio, headphones, and batteries. Translation will also be available for those on Zoom using Zoom Interpretation.
 
Lunch
A simple lunch will be provided on both Saturday and Lord’s Day. Saints can stay to eat and fellowship after the meeting.
 
Hospitality and Hotel Information

There are a limited number of hospitality spaces available upon request.   A list of nearby hotels can also be provided upon request.  Please submit your requests to serviceoffice@churchinnyc.org.

Child care
Child care will be provided during the Saturday morning and Lord’s Day morning conference sessions.  Less formal arrangements will be made for the Saturday afternoon session.  Details will be provided later.  Child care will not be provided for the Friday evening session. 

Please pray that the Lord will use this opportunity for the release of His Word and the strengthening of the churches.  Grace be with you all.

2023 Fall Mid-Atlantic Blending Conference

Dear saints in the Mid–Atlantic,

We are pleased and thankful to the Lord to announce the 2023 Fall Mid–Atlantic Blending Conference, to be held in Philadelphia, PA on September 16 – September 17, 2023.  We would like to invite all the churches and the saints to come and stay together at this time to enjoy the Lord and to receive His fresh speaking.

All the meetings will be held at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue, Grand Ballroom, located at 4200 City Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19131, and will be open to the public.  We anticipate that translation into Chinese, Korean, and Spanish will be provided for the three messages.  Care for children from kindergarten through 6th grade will be provided during the conference meetings.

Conference Details:

1. Lodging:  Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue has a special group rate of $164 per night plus tax for rooms with two double beds or one king bed.  For room reservations, please call 215-879-4000 and reference the group rate by providing the code: 92i.  Reservations must be made on or before August 24, 2023 to get this reduced rate.  Check-in is 4:00 PM or earlier if rooms are available and check-out is 11:00 PM on September 17, 2023.  1:00 PM check-out may be provided upon request and based on availability.

2. Parking:  All conference attendees will receive a discounted daytime self-parking rate at the Hilton Philadelphia City Avenue of $10 per day, but without in/out privileges.  Those staying at the hotel will receive free parking.  There will also be ample street parking around the hotel.

2023 Fall College Conference - PA, NJ, NY

The Fall College Retreat for the students in Eastern PA, NJ, and NY will be held on the weekend of September 29th-October 1st at KPCC. Registration is now open and details are below. The deadline for registration is September 24th.

Detailed schedule will be provided. Check-in will begin at 6pm on Friday, September 29th with the first meeting starting at 8pm. We will conclude with lunch on Lord’s Day, October 1.
 


2023 Church in NYC Scholarship Announcement

Dear brothers and sisters,

A number of generous donations from some elderly saints over the years were given to award scholarships for young people in the church in New York City. We thank the Lord for their generosity and for His practical care demonstrated to us through His Body. This year, the Board of Trustees have made available funds for awarding the 2023 Church in New York City Scholarship for Academic Excellence and for Financial Need.

Scholarship Requirements
1) All members of the church in New York City who have attended church meetings for at least 1 year and who will be undergraduate students or graduate students in any accredited college are eligible to apply for this scholarship. High school students are not eligible to apply.
2) All applicants must be registered in a matriculated program as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college during this academic year.
3) Minimum GPA for an academic scholarship is 3.0.

You will need a Google account to complete the application. Please follow the instructions in the application. The deadline for submitting your application is Lord’s Day, October 15, 2023.

Scholarships are awarded through an application and review process.  The submission of an application does not guarantee that you will be awarded a scholarship, but each application will be given careful consideration.
